Born in 1988, Gogo started playing guitar since he was 12 years old. In 2004, he won first prizes in four different categories at the Fingerpicking Morris Competition at the age of 16, becoming the youngest winner of the contest. He later released his first solo album.
Fingerstyle guitar is a unique technique of playing guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips or fingernails. It has gained popularity in Vietnam in recent years.
Fingerstyle guitar players are free to create completely new techniques, hand positions, and show their own colors.
Satoshi Gogo’s fingerstyle guitar concerts will take place at VOH Music One in HCMC on April 5, at Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre in Danang on April 6, and at the Youth Theatre in Hanoi on April 7.
Children under six years old are not admitted. Ticket prices range from VND300,000 to VND1 million.
