The video, created in collaboration with Majin Bu, a well-known Apple leaker, displays iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and iPhone 17 Pro mockups. According to sources linked to Apple’s Chinese supply chain, these designs may be accurate representations of the upcoming devices.

iPhone 17 Pro’s new camera design and aluminum frame

One of the most notable changes is the iPhone 17 Pro's camera redesign. Apple appears to be moving away from its signature square camera module, replacing it with a horizontal aluminum camera bar running across the device.

This design shift has been mentioned in several recent reports and could mark one of the most significant aesthetic changes to Apple’s Pro models in years.

In another major shift, supply chain analyst Jeff Pu suggests that Apple will replace titanium with aluminum for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, citing environmental concerns.

iPhone 17 Air: Apple's thinnest iPhone yet?

The iPhone 17 Air, expected to replace the Plus model, is rumored to be one of Apple’s thinnest iPhones ever. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the device could be just 5.5mm thick at its thinnest point.

However, the video raises a critical question: Will Apple still be able to integrate MagSafe magnets into the ultra-thin frame of the iPhone 17 Air?

Size and material updates for the iPhone 17 lineup

According to Apple analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max will all feature aluminum frames, while the iPhone 17 Air may use titanium.

Other rumored design updates include:

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may feature a glass-aluminum hybrid back, rather than the fully glass back used in previous models.
iPhone 17 Pro Max may feature a smaller Dynamic Island by integrating metalens technology, allowing for a more compact Face ID system and a larger display area.
Expected launch and lineup

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September 2025, following its annual release schedule. The lineup will likely include:

iPhone 17 (standard model)
iPhone 17 Pro
iPhone 17 Pro Max (expected to receive the most upgrades)
iPhone 17 Air (Apple’s new ultra-thin model)
With major design shifts and material changes, the iPhone 17 series could be one of Apple’s most significant updates in years.
