The Q3 Search Trend Report released by Coc Coc shows that ‘chung cu mini’ (mini apartment blocks), ‘tong thong My den Vietnam’ (US President’s visit to Vietnam), ‘VFS Nasdaq’ (VFS lists shares on Nasdaq), ‘Hoa hau Y Nhi’ (Miss Y Nhi), ‘BlackPink’ and ‘iPhone 15” were the top events, personalities and keywords that Coc Coc users searched for the most in the third quarter of 2023.
The statistics from Coc Coc browser and search engine found that the fire at the mini apartment building on Khuong Ha street in Thanh Xuan district in Hanoi caught the most attention from the netizen community recently.
Coc Coc users sought information related to the fire case, including the rescue work on site, the number of deaths, and the activities to support the victims of the case.
After the fire was extinguished, people were interested in information about the management and regulations on fire prevention and control at mini apartment buildings.
VinFast’s listing on Nasdaq ranked second among the topics that Vietnamese were interested in, while US President Joe Biden’s visit to Vietnam was in the third position.
The celebrity that ‘raised a big wave’ was Y Nhi, the winner at a beauty contest who stirred up the public with statements after she was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023.
The performance of BlackPink in Vietnam continued to lead search trends in the third quarter after it caught special attention from youth in the second quarter.
Regarding hi-tech products, Apple Pay and iPhone 15 were of top concern. The keyword ‘iPhone 15 ra mat’ (the launch of iPhone 15) saw an impressive increase of 4,359 percent in number of searches.
‘iPhone 15’ was also among the top 3 search trends on Coc Coc with a growth rate of 561 percent.
Launched in Vietnam on August 8, in the third quarter of 2023, the keyword "Apple Pay" was searched 851 percent more than in the previous quarter. In addition, Meta's Threads social network also attracted attention in its debut in July 2023.
In terms of games, Only Up and Pony Town were two games that saw more searches, up 29,399 percent and 5,102 percent, compared to the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, the number of searches for ‘AI search’ and ‘AI chat’ increased by 205 percent and 130 percent, respectively, compared with the second quarter.
