On September 8, at Far Out, an event organized in San Francisco, Apple officially introduced the latest iPhone 14 product line.

As predicted, Apple this year has no mini version, but introduced a new model – iPhone 14 Plus. In addition, there are the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.

The starting retail prices of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in the international market are $799, $899, $999 and $1,099, respectively.

This year, soon after the launching ceremony finished, Vietnamese retailers immediately announced the retail prices of iPhone products.

According to CellphoneS, one of the largest distribution chains in Vietnam, the lowest price of iPhone 14 at the chain is VND24 million for the 128GB version, while the highest price is VND33 million for 512GB version.

For iPhone 14 Plus, the lowest price will be VND27 million (128GB) and the highest VND36 million (512GB).

iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the higher-end models, sell for VND31 million and VND34 million.

At FPT Shop, one of Apple’s authorized resellers in Vietnam, iPhone 14 will be sold at VND25 million (128GB), VND28 million (256GB) and VND34 million (512GB). The warranty period is two years, or one year longer than the manufacturer’s standard warranty time.

The prices of iPhone 14 Plus are VND28 million (128GB), VND31 million (256GB) and VND37 million (512GB).

Compared with iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max duo have one more model with memory capacity of 1TB.

The lowest prices (138GB version) of iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are VND31 million and VND34 million, respectively. 

Meanwhile, the figures are VND47 million and VND50 million for the 1TB versions.

Regarding the starting retail time, a source told VietNamNet that it would be much earlier than in previous years.

A representative of FPT Shop said the sale may begin in September and October, while CellphoneS said products would arrive in October.

Since the iPhone launch in 2007, Vietnam has been among the fastest growing markets of Apple in the last few years.

According to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), workers’ average salary in 2021 was VND7.84 million a month. Though the salary was 4 percent higher than 2020, the average worker pays a five-month salary to obtain a brand new iPhone.
