The 2014 International Three-Cushion Carom Billiards Tournament is set to kick off in southern Binh Duong province on August 15.
This year’s annual event is expected to draw the participation of 47 Vietnamese billiards players from throughout the country and five foreign players from the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Japan.
At the competition, Vietnamese outstanding players Ngo Dinh Nai, Duong Anh Vu and Tran Quyet Chien will have the opportunity to compete against world class Japanese players Arai Tasuo and Takeshima O.
Two RoK players ranked in the World’s Top 30 are also competing in the tournament.
The total prize money is VND100 million. The champion will be awarded VND40 million. The second and third places will receive VND20 million and VND10 million, respectively.
This year’s tournament lasts through August 18.
