Although China has reopened its doors since January 8, the number of visitors from this country was estimated at 15,875.
International visitors to Viet Nam by air accounted for the majority with 91.9 percent; by road - 7.5 percent and by sea - 0.6 percent.
According to official statistics, tourism revenue in January 2023 was estimated at VND2,200 billion, up 113.4 percent over the same period last year.
From January 21 to January 26, localities across the country reported a sharp increase in the number of international visitors compared to the same period last year.

Travel experts around the world forecasted that 2023 would see a strong growth in international travel demand. Viet Nam tourism will not be out of this trend.
Therefore, General Director of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Trung Khanh said that 2023 would have many breakthroughs in both the number of visitors and revenue.
