According to Oddity Central, the bubble tea "craze" among young people shows no signs of cooling down. This has led many restaurants to continuously innovate by adding dishes inspired by this popular beverage to their menus.
Recently, a chain of restaurants specializing in Taiwanese cuisine with multiple locations in Hanoi launched a unique beef noodle dish, featuring a broth made from milk tea and black tapioca pearls.
“Inspired by the famous milk hot pot from Taiwan (China), which consists of broth from simmered bones and fresh milk, the brand has creatively combined it with black tea for a unique aroma, along with beef and tapioca pearls. All of this creates a distinctive bowl of milk tea noodles with beef that is unlike any other,” the restaurant described the dish.
Despite the relatively high price of 98,000 VND per bowl, the milk tea noodles with beef still attract many young diners out of curiosity.
According to those who have tasted this dish, the broth consists of simmered bone stock combined with a bit of milk and tea to enhance its flavor, giving it a salty taste reminiscent of Italian cream mushroom noodles. The type of tea used is black tea, contributing a fragrant note to the broth.
The combination of beef and tapioca pearls is quite unusual. The beef is tender, while the pearls have a chewy texture, not as sweet as those typically found in regular milk tea.
Previously, some restaurants abroad had also introduced unusual noodle dishes, including durian ramen, crocodile feet noodles, sea bug noodles, and waffle cone cream ramen.
