VietNamNet Bridge – White "mummies" at the doorstep, hundreds of "heads", dozens of bloody faces and statues of strange shapes are placed rampantly in a 1,000 m2 garden in Hoa Thanh district of Tay Ninh province, scaring local people.

11 years ago, Mr. Pham Chung, 72 at that time, from Saigon, bought about 1000 m2 amid Long Hai Village, Truong Tay commune, Hoa Thanh district, Tay Ninh province to build a family temple. The garden has no fence and it is located at an intersection.

In the garden, there is a small house that is always locked, surrounded by overgrown trees and grasses. The ground is decorated by hundreds of human-face statues. The owner lives in Ho Chi Minh City and he visits his garden several times a month.

According to the locals, each time Mr. Chung returns to the garden, he hired workers to make human-shaped and face-shaped statues featuring dead people in odd shapes. At present, the deserted garden is full of heads and statues of dead people in different features. The garden looks like the "hell".

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, a local police officer says that after receiving complaints from locals, the authorities have asked Mr. Chung to remove horror statues. "He promised to clear the garden in two months. If he does not remove them, the local authorities will do it," Phong says.

The faces outline both women, men, the old and the young people with different mood. "Recently Mr. Chung made a lot of horror statues. The garden is left fallowed, scaring anyone who passes this place," said Mr. Nguyen Van That, who lives beside the "spooky garden."
