VietNamNet Bridge - To promote administrative reform to serve nearly 1.8 million residents and 15,000 businesses, the southern province of Binh Duong is the pioneer in grouping all administrative bodies into one place - a 23-storey twin towers.
The administrative center is located right in the center of the Binh Duong New City, covering 1,000 hectares, as part of the 4,196ha industrial-service - urban area complex. This is the political - economic - cultural center of the entire province and the nucleus of a modern Binh Duong City.
The building consists of two towers A and B and it is the home to nearly 60 party and government agencies of Binh Duong. "The whole ground floors in the two towers are arranged for one-stop administrative bodies, which are very modern and friendly with the people and businesses," said Mr. Truong Cong Huy, who is in charge of administrative reform at the Binh Duong Department of Home Affairs.
The building has 23 floors, 104 meters high with a total investment of VND1.4 trillion (about $700 million), with helipads, a 2-story car park which can accommodate more than 2,000 cars and 640 motorcycles, the total area floor of 104,000 m2. Right next to the center is the Convention Center which can accommodate 800 people.
Mr. Tran Van Nam, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong province, said the provincial administrative center is designed in the direction of being open and friendly to that people and businesses. The administrative center will officially operate today, February 20. The construction of this work began in November 2010.
