February: Of the top eight photos selected by National Geographic in February 2015, one belongs to a Vietnamese photographer. It’s the photograph featuring an old man leading a bicycle carrying bamboo fishing baskets by Ly Hoang Long.

March: Five works by Vietnamese photographers entered the final of the annual photo awards held by Smithsonian magazine. This year's competition received over 26,500 photos sent by photographers from 93 countries. This was the 12th Smithsonian Annual Photo Contest.

April: The shot of a busy intersection in HCM City during rush hour by Nguyen Minh Tan won the third prize ($10,000) at the Hamdan International Photography Award held by prince Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum.

Also in April, a photo entitled "Light up the darkness" by French photographer Fabio Manca was voted the best picture on April 14 by National Geographic. The photo was taken in the ancient town of Hoi An, Vietnam after a storm.

July: At the international award - "Environmental Photographer of the Year", five works of Vietnamese photographers were honored and displayed in London, England, as follows.

Also in July, of the nine best photos of the month on National Geographic, two belong to Vietnamese photographers, including “Terraces" by Tuan Guitare and “The Vendors” by Quang Tran.

August: The photo "On the way home" by photographer Phan Ngan was voted the best picture of August 15 in National Geographic. The photo describes a Cham woman walking on the beach after a working day. The photo was taken in Phan Rang - Thap Cham.

October: The photo of the terraces in Vietnam by Nguyen Quynh Anh was selected the best photo on October 11 in National Geographic.

The photo captures the moment the farmers return home after a long working day. They crossed the terraced fields in the valley of Tu Le in Yen Bai province, northern Vietnam.

November: At the National Geographic Photo Contest 2015, the photo by Pham Ty featuring two women weaving fishing nets was again introduced on the sidelines as one of the impressive works. In fact, this picture was honored as best photo in February 2014 in National Geographic.

December: Once again, the photo featuring an old man leading a bicycle carrying bamboo fishing baskets by Ly Hoang Long was honored at the prestigious photo contest named “Travel Photographer of the Year” (TPOTY).

Finally, impressive photos of Vietnam posted by many foreign newspapers in 2015, contributing to advertising the image of Vietnam to the world, include those taken by French photographer Rehahn Croquevielle, who has been living in Vietnam for a long time.

Rehahn’s photos taken during his trip to the Northwest region of Vietnam were published in Business Insider magazine (US).
