Impressive images of drone light show during Ha Long Carnival 2024
Ha Long Carnival 2024 dazzled spectators with its first-ever drone light show taking place to mark National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1).
The carnival starts with a music gala held at Dai Duong park in Ha Long City on April 28.
The event is slated for national holidays, including National Reunification Day and May Day in Bai Chay ward of Ha Long city, bringing together thousands of domestic and foreign artists.
First held in 2007, the annual event is set to promote the values of the UNESCO-recognised world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay.
A paragliding performance excites crowds before the start of the carnival.
The highlight of the festival is the first-ever drone light show which features around 2,300 unmanned aerial vehicles.
It tells stories of Quang Ninh province in the night sky through an art show, along with exciting music and performances put on by artists.
Among the landmarks appearing in the drone light show is Chùa Đồng (bronze pagoda) that sits on Yen Tu mountain, about 1,068m above sea level.
A show depicts the Love bridge located on Cua Luc bay in Quang Ninh province.
An image of Van Don International Airport’s logo is created during a drone light show.
Fireworks displays, joyous street parades with various colourful costumes, and dances are performed on wide streets along the coast, whilst art performances will also be organised during the carnival.
A fireworks display is held at the opening ceremony of the carnival on April 28.
