The program opened with a song and dance performance praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, the beauty of Lai Chau in general, and Than Uyen in particular with friendliness and hospitality.

During the program, local people and visitors also enjoyed performances by three ethnic groups, including: The wedding procession performance of the Dao ethnic group; dance art of the Kho Mu people; and Khen dance of the H’mong people.

After the show, local people and tourists enjoyed and participated in a dance named "Northwest Colors" with the participation of over 2,000 artists and athletes from local agencies and organizations, folk culture clubs of Thai, Mong, Kho Mu and Dao ethnic groups in the provinces of Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nghe An, and Hanoi. This was a gift from the people of all ethnic groups in Than Uyen district to the Party and Uncle Ho which represented the eternal solidarity of the Independence Day (September 2).

On this occasion, Than Uyen district honored the winners of a contest to create a logo and slogan for Than Uyen tourism. This contest received 245 logos and 24 slogans about Than Uyen Tourism. The Organizing Committee presented the first prize for the logo category to Pham Tam from Ho Chi Minh City; the first prize in the slogan category to Tran Trung Hieu - Nguyen Thi Viet Ha from Than Uyen town, Than Uyen district and two consolation prizes of the slogan categories.
