VietNamNet Bridge – On Tuesday morning, September 9, tens of thousands of young men throughout the country enlisted in the army, the second phase in 2014.

Colonel Nguyen Manh Toan, from the High Command of Hanoi Capital, said that in the second phase, 15 military units recruited new soldiers and two of them have their own recruitment criteria – the Army Ritual Team and a unit of the 957 Brigade of the Navy Zone 4.

Toan said this year the qualification of new soldiers is higher than the previous years. Hanoi does not select the citizens with nearsightedness and farsightedness and gives priority to those who have university and college degrees. Unqualified recruits will be rejected.
