On the evening of April 23, officials from the People’s Committee of Nghia Dan District confirmed that the site is being secured after several suspected human remains were found at Len Chua, located on the border between Nghia Thanh and Nghia Hung communes.
At approximately 1:30 PM that day, locals entering the Len Chua cave area discovered what seemed to be human skeletons and immediately reported the findings to authorities.
Upon receiving the report, Nghia Thanh Commune police accessed the site and confirmed the presence of two skulls along with several bones. As they moved deeper into the cave, they found more remains, though the total number of skeletons has yet to be determined.
By around 3:30 PM, personnel from the Nghia Dan District Military Command and Regiment 26 (under the Ministry of National Defense) had arrived to further inspect the site.
The Nghia Dan District Military Command clarified that the site where the skeletons were found does not fall under the management of the Ministry of National Defense, but is instead designated as reserve land for future defense purposes.
Currently, police in Nghia Thanh Commune are working with other functional agencies to secure the scene, awaiting instructions from the Nghia Dan District People’s Committee before proceeding with further actions.
