Ho Chi Minh City will host fireworks displays at seven locations on April 30 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). The city is also mobilizing businesses and local authorities to sponsor additional fireworks shows.

The announcement was made by Vo Ho Hoang Vu, Chief of Staff at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, during a press conference on March 6 regarding the city’s socio-economic developments.

According to Vu, the municipal government has issued an official plan for Reunification Day celebrations, which includes seven designated fireworks locations.

The planned fireworks sites include:

Saigon River Tunnel area (Thu Duc City)

Ben Duoc Martyrs’ Memorial (Cu Chi District)

Nga Ba Giong Martyrs’ Memorial (Hoc Mon District)

Lang Le – Bau Co Historic Site (Binh Chanh District)

Can Gio District Football Stadium

National Cultural and Historical Park

Dam Sen Cultural Park

In addition to these locations, the city is encouraging local districts and businesses to organize additional fireworks displays through private sponsorship.

The Department of Culture and Sports has been working closely with various agencies and organizations to plan cultural and sporting events in honor of the anniversary.

These activities aim to celebrate national reunification while also fostering a sense of historical pride and patriotism.

The festivities will include exhibitions, cultural performances, and public sporting events, offering both locals and tourists a memorable experience that blends historical remembrance with modern entertainment.
