After an hour of negotiations, the Ho Chi Minh City Fire and Rescue Police successfully convinced a 22-year-old woman to abandon her suicide attempt from a high-rise building.

Today (February 25), the District 5 Police in Ho Chi Minh City successfully intervened to rescue a young woman who intended to jump from a building in Ward 1.

At approximately 8:00 AM, local residents alerted the District 5 Police about a woman threatening to jump from the second floor of a house in an alley on Tran Binh Trong Street.

In response, the police dispatched two specialized rescue vehicles along with the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Department to the scene.

To ensure her safety, officers deployed an inflatable rescue mattress and safety nets beneath the building. Simultaneously, several officers used a staircase and specialized rescue ladders to reach the second floor, where they attempted to calm and reassure the distressed woman.

After 60 minutes of patient negotiation, the emergency responders successfully persuaded the woman to step away from the edge. She was then safely brought down to the ground.

Authorities later identified her as K.N.A., 22 years old. The District 5 Police handed her over to local authorities and her family for further care and support.
