The Hoan Kiem Lake area in the heart of Hanoi, famous for its lively pedestrian area with special dishes, is a botanical garden with "heritage trees".

More than 1,300 Shan Tuyet tea plants in Ha Giang province and a group of valuable timber trees in Dak Nong province have been recognised as “Vietnam Heritage Trees”.

The population of samu and pomu trees in the Xuan Lien nature reserve, is considered the largest in the central region of Vietnam with many hundred-year-old trees, and a tree nearly 1,500 years old.

Hanoi’s authorities have set up fences and security cameras to protect the valuable dalbergia tonkinensis trees on Nguyen Van Huyen Street.

The Viet Nam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment has recognised a group of 400 Po Mu trees in the forest of mountainous Tay Giang District in Quang Nam Province as Heritage Trees.

 VietNamNet Bridge – At the historic site of Lam Kinh in Thanh Hoa Province, 18 ancient trees have been recognized as heritage trees of Vietnam. Many of the trees are from 300 to 600 years old.
