Today (October 25), District 12 Police, in collaboration with Hiep Thanh Ward Police, have begun verifying the information and conducted an inspection at the Quan Am Shelter located on Nguyen Thi Bup Street.

According to the report, Ms. T. (31) and Ms. A. (33) recently approached local authorities to report that they were unable to visit their children after leaving them at Quan Am Shelter, raising concerns that the children might be "missing."

These women explained that due to difficult circumstances, they had contacted Quan Am Shelter when they were pregnant in 2023. When they gave birth in April, the shelter took in and cared for their babies.

At that time, representatives of the shelter required Ms. T. and Ms. A. to sign a commitment not to reclaim their children until they turned 18. Following this, the shelter provided each of them with VND 6 million (around $235) in support.

Until recently, the two women had been regularly visiting the shelter to see their children.

However, since early September, both mothers have been unable to see their children. They have tried various ways to reach out, but shelter staff have been evasive.

In addition to these two mothers, several other parents are also facing difficulties in contacting the shelter and are unable to visit their children. Authorities are currently investigating and clarifying the situation.
