Among private schools, North America International School currently holds the highest tuition fee in Ho Chi Minh City at up to 843.4 million VND/year (approx. $33,200). 

North America International School (NAIS) has announced its tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year. This private school, under the management of the Department of Education and Training, charges the highest tuition among private K-12 institutions in the city. Fees range from 514.56 million VND to 843.47 million VND (approx. $20,200 to $33,200).

Specifically, grades 1-5 are priced at 514.56 million VND/year, with a 10% discount for payment by April 30 (down to 463.1 million VND) or 5% by May 31 (488.8 million VND). Grades 6-10 cost 689.24 million VND/year, discounted to 620.3 million VND (April 30) or 654.8 million VND (May 31). The highest rate applies to grades 11 and 12 at 843.47 million VND, or 759.1 million VND and 801.3 million VND with early payment.

Other fees include a 40 million VND enrollment fee, 5.6 million VND application processing fee, uniforms ranging from 2.9 to 5.4 million VND, primary boarding at 35.4 million VND/year, secondary boarding at 40.9 million VND/year, and dormitory fees ranging from 94.5 to 135.6 million VND/year. Transportation fees vary from 13 to 40 million VND/year depending on distance.

Australian International School follows with tuition up to 521.5 million VND

Australian International School (AIS) also released its 2025-2026 tuition, ranging from 316.94 million VND to 521.51 million VND/year (approx. $12,500 to $20,500). Grades 1-2 are 316.94 million VND; grades 3-4 are 363.2 million VND; grade 5 is 404.6 million VND; grades 6-7 are 450.8 million VND; grades 8-9 are 485.1 million VND; and grades 10-12 are at the highest tier.

Discounts include 35% for full-year payment by February 15, 30% by April 30, and 25% by June 30. Additional fees include a 1 million VND application fee, 25 million VND enrollment, and 25 million VND deposit.

Tesla School offers up to 616.4 million VND/year

Tesla K-12 School charges between 245.5 million VND and 616.39 million VND/year (approx. $9,700 to $24,200). Grades 1-2 are priced at 245.5 million VND; grades 3-4 at 268.5 million VND; grade 5 at 295 million VND. Middle school tuition ranges from 377.4 million VND to 408.1 million VND. High school tuition increases to 616.4 million VND/year in grades 11 and 12. Early payments before March 31 or May 31 receive 10% and 5% discounts respectively.

Vietnam-Finland International School: top public school tuition nearly 700 million VND/year

This state-run school under Ton Duc Thang University charges among the highest tuition in the public sector. International program fees range from 457.59 million VND to 639.24 million VND/year (approx. $18,000 to $25,200), depending on grade level. Early payment discounts of 5-10% are available.

If tuition is paid in two semesters, the total cost for grades 11 and 12 can reach up to 690.38 million VND/year. The bilingual program costs 246.2 million VND to 313.7 million VND/year.

Late payments incur a 0.05% daily penalty. After 15 days, the school may suspend the student and withhold academic records until the debt is cleared.

Vietnam-Australia International School rounds out the list

This school, modeled as a public international high school under the HCMC People’s Committee and Department of Education, charges 213.2 million VND for grade 10, 221.6 million VND for grade 11, and 224.4 million VND for grade 12. Additional fees include a 3.5 million VND registration fee, 5 million VND textbook deposit, and meal/transportation charges based on enrollment.
