From August 23 to September 6, Ho Chi Minh City is implementing Directive 11, with the motto "building each ward, commune, town, each agency, factory, and business a fortress against the Covid-19 epidemic”. All people are requested to stay put.
On the morning of August 23, the first day implementing the highest social distancing measures, Saigon streets were mostly deserted. Some people allowed to go out must present necessary documents at checkpoints.
Checkpoints are guarded by police officers, soldiers and militias to ensure that people go out for the right reasons and strictly observe social distancing rules to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

Prime Minister: Everyone in HCM City to be tested during social distancing period
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed local authorities to perform rapid testing on a large scale. HCM City will conduct Covid-19 test for the entire population during the social distancing period to detect F0 cases as soon as possible.
