This year Hanoi is assigned to recruit 3,500 young citizens to perform military service and more than 1,000 citizens to perform the people's police service. 

Districts and towns in the city have basically completed the preparations for the rookie handover ceremony, which is scheduled on February 27. 

Young men were tested for nCoV on February 23. The test samples will be sent to the Hanoi Center for Disease Control and the results will be available on February 25, said Colonel Nguyen Viet Thang, Head of the Military Medical Service of the Capital High Command. 

The Capital High Command said that the 2021 rookie handover ceremony of Hanoi will take place within only 20 minutes on February 27, due to the ongoing Covid-19 epidemic. 

Around 68.9% of people eligible for national service have met the health requirements. Those with university, college and vocation training degrees accounted for 43% of the total, while 30% voluntarily joined the army.

On the morning of February 23, young men in Ba Dinh District were provided with the Covid-19 testing.

They maintained safe distancing while waiting for their turn to receive the testing.

They were also given a temperature check and made their health declarations.   All tests will be carried out by the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control and their results will be available two days before the young men begin their army service.

On the morning of February 23, young men in Hoang Mai District were also provided with the Covid-19 testing.

On tFebruary 23, young men in Long Bien District were provided with the Covid-19 testing.

On February 23, young men in Hai Ba Trung District were provided with the Covid-19 testing.

The testing results will be available on February 25
