VietNamNet Bridge – The Nexttop Discotheque in the Grand Plaza Hotel, the largest night club in the capital has been suspended for making disorder and insecurity, advertising alcohol and organizing offensive performances.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, deputy chief of the Hanoi Department for Prevention of Social Evils, says that Hanoi inspectors recently checked the Nexttop Discotheque on Tran Duy Hung Street and found a number of violations.

In addition to advertising alcohol and organizing offensive performances several times, this discotheque, which is located in the basement, does not have the certification for social security for operation.

Also, according to Thuy, Nexttop did other irregularities such as not offering periodic health examinations and paying social insurance premiums for the employees who had been working for at least three months, while the health certificates of its employees were in wrong forms...

The interdisciplinary inspection team imposed VND15 million ($750) in fines on this night club for advertising alcohol of more than 30 degrees.

The inspectors also asked the Hanoi People's Committee to suspend the operation of Nexttop. The city has sent a written request to the Cau Giay district authorities to temporarily shut down this discotheque.

On its Facebook page, Nexttop club also announced to pause operation and move to Kim Ma Street (Hanoi).

Earlier, on August 22, actress Angela Phuong Trinh performed pole dancing in Nexttop in a super-shot nude-colored jumpsuit. After this incident, Nexttop was fined with VND3.5 million.

Early in 2012, a guard at Nexttop was injured in a shooting when he tried to discourage two groups of customers from attacking each other.
