A range of culinary, cultural, and art exchange activities will be held during the event in order to introduce unique cultural characteristics and tourism destinations in both the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam.
The festival is also expected to contribute to further expanding the fine relations between the two countries in the fields of culture, economics, education, and tourism.
The highlight of the festival will be a talent contest opening with the theme of “Cultural colors of Vietnam-RoK”, a flashmob performance featuring 300 young people, a children's fashion show, and a culinary demonstration.
In particular, the event will be attended by Korean professors and students from six universities in Gyeongbuk province, namely Andong National University, Kyungwoon University, Kyungil University, Daegu University, and Daegu Hanny University, Yeungnam University, and Jeju Tourism University.
Furthermore, representatives from 14 Korean companies operating in the field of dietary supplements, cosmetics, and content production will attend the festival.
Gyeongbuk, located in the east of the RoK, is blessed by nature with hundreds of famous places and specialties. This locality preserves the RoK’s traditional cultural features with hundred-years old villages, famous landmarks and unique traditional cultural festivals.
It is also home to many UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the National Buddhist Temple and Seokguram Cave.
