VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi-based Goethe Institute will host an exhibition entitled “Germany in Miniature” from August 17–22.
The event is designed to offer German language lovers and students a snapshot of the country’s culture, history, people, society, and economy.
Germany’s 82 million people make it the EU’s most populous country. Its economy, the fifth largest in the world, is famous for revolutionary products including BMW and Mercedes vehicles, Aspirin, and a vast range of advanced digital devices respected for their build quality and workmanship.
The country boasts 400 universities, 6,300 museums, and hundreds of theatres.
Vietnamese visitors will be able to sample a small taste of Germany’s achievements during the exhibition.
Last June, the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the German Embassy signed an agreement placing German teaching at schools on the same level as other foreign languages like English, French, and Russian.
