Hanoi has announced plans to digitize 100% of its valid administrative procedure records by December 31, 2025.
According to the Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, the city's People’s Committee has issued a digitalization plan for the processing of administrative procedures across all government agencies and units.
Under this plan, Hanoi aims to digitize all remaining valid administrative records while also implementing digital solutions for receiving and processing new administrative requests.
The initiative is designed to maximize data utilization, reduce processing times, and improve service quality by eliminating reliance on geographical boundaries. By streamlining administrative processes, the city hopes to increase efficiency, enhance productivity, and contribute to the development of digital citizens and digital enterprises in the capital.
The Hanoi Public Administration Service Center has been tasked with working alongside the Department of Information and Communications to develop a digitalization process for administrative records.
This process will incorporate digital technology solutions and utilize an electronic data storage system provided by the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Administrative Management on Social Order. The implementation is set to begin in the first quarter of 2025.
Additionally, the Department of Information and Communications and the Public Administration Service Center will launch awareness campaigns highlighting the significance and benefits of digitizing administrative procedures.
To ensure data security, the Department of Information and Communications will oversee cybersecurity measures, implement backup and recovery systems, and conduct regular security assessments to safeguard digital administrative records.
