During a recent progress review, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh instructed relevant agencies to complete all necessary procedures to ensure Tu Lien Bridge and its connecting roads - from Nghi Tam to Truong Sa - meet the required conditions for groundbreaking.
To meet the project deadline, the Department of Construction and the City Transport Infrastructure Project Management Board must finalize the construction plans by the end of March.
Additionally, the Department of Planning and Architecture, the Institute for Urban Planning, and the City Transport Infrastructure Project Management Board must collaborate with local district authorities to complete route alignment and land-use approval procedures for the bridge’s entrance points. These documents must be submitted for review and approval by the end of March.
The Department of Finance has been assigned to oversee the contractor selection process, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the bidding process.
Fast-tracking Tran Hung Dao and Ngoc Hoi bridges
For Tran Hung Dao Bridge, the Hanoi People’s Committee has instructed Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, and Long Bien districts to expedite land clearance efforts and submit project plans for approval to ensure construction begins within Q2 2025.
Similarly, for Ngoc Hoi Bridge, the Department of Planning and Architecture must work closely with Thanh Tri and Gia Lam districts to finalize route alignment and construction plans by March 2025.
Thanh Tri and Gia Lam district authorities have also been instructed to prepare land clearance and relocation plans to prevent delays in the project’s execution.
