HCM City to organize vote of confidence for 16 officials
None of Hanoi’s officials assessed with weakness and shortcoming
Members of the Hanoi People's Council cast their votes this morning.
The result of the first vote of confidence of the capital city was announced this afternoon, July 4.
The Chair of the Hanoi People 's Council – Ms. Ngo Thi Doan Thanh - received the highest votes of confidence, with more than 91 percent of high trust votes, followed by the Hanoi police chief Nguyen Duc Chung. Hanoi Chairman Nguyen The Thao had 62 percent.
The two officials with the lowest votes of confidence are Director of the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs – Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc (24 percent) and Director of the Department of Planning and Investment – Mr. Ngo Van Quy (23 percent).
The Chief of the Legal Council – Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam is the only one who did not get any low trust vote.
Chair of the People's Council Ngo Thi Doan Thanh said this is the first time that the Hanoi People's Council organized the vote of confidence for key officials. The vote was organized in accordance with the resolution of the National Assembly and the guidance of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
"The outcome of the vote of confidence is not just the indicator showing personal responsibility of officials but also helps them realize their personal credit rating," said Thanh.
