Hanoi Electric Bus JSC is a subsidiary of the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco).

This initiative is part of Hanoi’s master plan for developing public transport using electric and green energy, approved by the city’s People’s Committee.

Line No. 34 spans approximately 30 kilometers, linking two major bus terminals: My Dinh and Gia Lam. Seventeen electric buses are being introduced in the first phase. The route not only meets residents’ commuting needs along a key traffic corridor but also improves urban air quality.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, emphasized that green transportation is one of the pillars in the city’s sustainable development strategy. The launch of electric bus line 34 marks a concrete step in Hanoi’s green transition and demonstrates the leadership role of local enterprises in this transformation.

According to the city's plan, by 2030, over 2,000 fossil-fuel buses will be fully replaced by electric buses.

Nguyen Quang Huy, Party Secretary of Hanoi Electric Bus JSC, said the company had made comprehensive investments in vehicles, charging stations, maintenance facilities, and manpower to ensure operational efficiency. All buses on the route are equipped with modern technology, offering smooth, user-friendly, and eco-conscious operation.

Each bus on line 34 accommodates up to 68 passengers. The buses feature modern standards, including low floors for easier boarding and vehicle-tilt functionality that enables wheelchair access. This line of electric buses has already been successfully deployed in several cities across Vietnam and has been well-received by both domestic and international passengers.
