On September 21, Hanoi officially opened its new Children’s Cultural Complex, a VND1.3 billion project featuring an astronomical tower, indoor swimming pool, and modern classrooms designed to foster education and entertainment for the city's youth.
The Children's Palace is located next to the CV1 Lake Regulating Park, with a total area of about 40,000 m² and a construction floor area of approximately 10,280 m².
The project is invested by the Hanoi City Cultural and Social Construction Investment Project Management Board.
The highlight of the project is the 18-story Astronomy Tower, standing 68 meters tall, located near Pham Hung Road.
The project was approved by the Hanoi People's Committee to be implemented from 2020 to 2024; it commenced on November 19, 2021, and the construction and equipment installation were completed by June 30, 2024, shortening the implementation time by 10%.
On the first floor of Building B is a four-season swimming pool measuring 25x25 meters, with 10 lanes and depths ranging from 1.3 meters to 1.8 meters.
The project also includes an 800-seat theater combined with a 3D-4D cinema with 200 seats.
Additionally, it features a 500-seat gymnasium, functional classrooms, and a library, all built according to modern standards.
The 800-seat theater’s exterior corridor is located in Building A...
... and the atrium area is designed in a spiral shape.
The functional classrooms for children have been completed.
The project was completed and put into use with the aim of creating a cultural and sports center that meets the recreational, educational, sporting, and physical training needs of Hanoi’s children.
The modern lighting system is also a key feature.
Currently, 100% of the project’s tasks and sections have been completed, ensuring time, quality, technical standards, aesthetics, environmental protection, security, and safety.
A unique circular outdoor swimming pool for young children is another distinguishing feature of the project.
Hanoi Children's Palace is one of Hanoi's key projects for the 2020-2025 period, with the goal of establishing a major cultural, sports, and political center for the youth of the capital and the nation.
