The Hanoi People's Committee has officially approved the route and construction site for Tu Lien Bridge and the roads connecting both ends.

According to the decision, the project will stretch from the intersection with Nghi Tam Road to the intersection with Truong Sa Road, spanning Tay Ho and Long Bien districts and Dong Anh district.

Specifically, the starting point will be at the intersection with Nghi Tam Road in Tay Ho district, and the endpoint will be at the intersection with the TC13 axis in Dong Anh district.

The total length of the route is approximately 3 kilometers. The segment from the intersection with the TC13 axis to Truong Sa Road will follow the detailed planning and position of the connecting road from Tu Lien Bridge to the new National Highway 3, as specified in the 1/500 scale plan approved by the Hanoi People's Committee under Decision No. 6381/QD-UBND dated December 11, 2024.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the bridge’s alignment is consistent with the capital’s master plan, adjustments to the general capital planning, the transportation planning of the capital, and the Red River urban subdivision planning, all of which have been approved.

The bridge’s cross-sectional design will be divided into two main segments.

The typical cross-sectional width of Tu Lien Bridge will be between 43 and 44 meters, including six lanes for motor vehicles and mixed lanes, along with pedestrian sidewalks.

The southern approach will have a typical cross-sectional width of 48 meters, featuring a central viaduct, parallel urban service roads, and sidewalks on both sides. The northern approach will have a typical cross-sectional width of 60 meters.

The bridge will include main intersections at both ends, connecting with longitudinal routes along the Red River.

The intersection at the southern approach with Nghi Tam Road will be a multi-level intersection, where the elevated approach road from Tu Lien Bridge will combine with a roundabout at the crossing point, and a connecting viaduct will be positioned between the Nghi Tam dike.

The service road will connect at ground level with the existing dike road. The Huu Hong dike gateway at the intersection will be expanded to match the width of the southern approach, ensuring traffic connectivity.

The Hanoi People's Committee has tasked the Department of Planning and Architecture with inspecting and verifying the route drawings and project location as per the approval decision.
