VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese champions Hanoi FC took part in a 1-1 draw with Tampines Rovers FC of Singapore in their second match of the AFC Cup’s Group F on March 12.
Van Quyet, Hanoi FC’s No. 10, missed a number of good opportunities in front of goal during the first half. Hanoi FC striker Pape Omar Faye opened the scoring in the 62nd minute. V-League champions Hanoi FC, playing in a white kit dominated the majority of the game. In the 77th minute, J.Webb of Tampines Rovers FC scored a goal to equalise for the hosts. Hanoi FC remain in the lead in Group F. They are set to play Yangon United of Myanmar in the following match. Meanwhile Becamex Binh Duong FC of Vietnam hosted Ceres Negros of the Philippines. |
Ceres Negros are widely regarded to be stronger than Becamex Binh Duong FC. The match was a battle for both teams. Tan Truong made a mistake in the first half, giving striker Bienve an easy chance for the first goal. Substitute Anh Duc got on in the second half. As hosts, Becamex Binh Duong FC struggled to find the path to goal. The Vietnamese team equalized in the 72nd minute. Ceres Negros FC hit back with two more goals in the 74th and 77th minutes. The match finished 3-1 in favour of the team from the Philippines. |
