VietNamNet Bridge – Hanoi elected three new Vice Chairmen for its People’s Committee at the ninth meeting of the People’s Council on April 18.

The newly-elected include Le Hong Son, member of the municipal Party Standing Committee and former Deputy Minister of Justice; Le Quoc Hung, Director of the municipal Department of Transport; and Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Chairman of the Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation.

Addressing the function, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi said the election is a timely move to fill the vice-chairman positions vacated by two retired officials - Nguyen Van Khoi and Nguyen Huy Tuong.

Over the past time, the city has appointed capable officials to certain positions in order to promote the operational effectiveness of the local apparatus.

With three new officials, the municipal People’s Committee has seven Vice Chairmen.
