VietNamNet Bridge - At the upcoming meeting, the Hanoi People’s Council will consider seven petitions on the vote of confidence and organize the vote of confidence for the positions elected by the People’s Council.

Vote of confidence for President and Prime Minister scheduled in June 

 

 

The 7th session of the Hanoi People's Council is expected to take place in the last week of June and the first week of July.

As usual in the mid-year session, participants will examine the periodic reports on the implementation of economic - social tasks and national security in the first six months of 2013 and orientations and tasks for the second half of the year.

In addition to considering the report on the housing development program in Hanoi, adjusting the charges for some health care service at public hospitals in the city, the Hanoi People’s Council will consider seven reports on the vote of confidence for the persons holding the positions that are elected by the People’s Council.

On January 8, the 11th meeting of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee conducted the vote of confidence for members of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee and vice presidents of the Hanoi People’s Council and the Hanoi People's Committee.

No official got 100 percent of the vote but nobody was rated as weak.

Hanoi Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi said Hanoi would hold the vote of confidence annually. He confirmed that officials with low confidence rate will be replaced.
