VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) Congress is not held yet, but its new chair, vice chair and secretary general have been defined.

It is for sure that Mr. Le Hung Dung, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan and Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc will hold the most important positions in the new term.

The VFF Congress is being held in February. In the race to the Chairmanship, Mr. Le Hung Dung is the only candidate after the withdrawal of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism – Mr. Le Khanh Hai.

Therefore, Acting Chairman Le Hung Dung will surely become the ninth chairman of this organization.

The VFF general secretary position will be introduced by the chairman, and it is up to 99.99 percent for sure that Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan will return to the position. Tuan used to be VFF general secretary for almost two terms before becoming the chief of the football management department of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Administration.

Tuan had a very close relationship with former VFF chairman Nguyen Trong Hy and very good relationship with the acting VFF chairman Le Hung Dung. He is also appreciated in executive ability and international relations.

Another important position – the vice chair in charge of finance – almost belongs to the big boss of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) Group – Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc.

Earlier, when Duc was recommended to this post, he stated that he would only accept this position if Dung is elected as the chairman.

Duc - with great reputation and contribution to Vietnam’s football - is expected to be a good finance manager of the football federation.

The VFF acting chairman Le Hung Dung said: "I am proud to be the best VFF vice chair in charge of finance so far. The only person who can surpass me is Mr. Duc."

Mr. Nguyen Lan Trung is believed to have no rival in the race to the position of vice chair in charge of external communications. Meanwhile, the vice chair in charge of expertise is not defined yet because there are many potential candidates for this post.
