The match was held in the southern province of Binh Duong.

Despite the absence of key players who have just returned home from the Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship in China, HAGL dominated the match since the referee blew his whistle.

HAGL’s two goals came at the 23rd and 65th minute, thanks to two foreign players Fabio Henrique and Gordon Rimario, who are on a trial period in the team.

Meanwhile, the South Korean team narrowed the gap by a penalty kick of Hwang Yooseung in the 33rd minute.

In another match, host Binh Duong beat Vasco Gama B of Brazil 2-1.

The South Korean team was eliminated from the tournament as they fell to the bottom of the rankings after four matches with only one point. Binh Duong, Vasco Gama B and HAGL are at the top with six points each, followed by Quang Nam with four points.

Quang Nam will face Vasco Gama B, and Binh Duong will meet HAGL in the last match of the qualifying round on February 2. The best two teams will enter the final, while the two remaining teams will fight for the third place.
