The northernmost province of Ha Giang will organise the first off-road motor race for both motorbikes and cars in the UNESCO-recognised Dong Van Karts Global Geopark during the upcoming Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day holidays.

According to the plan, the race will be held from April 28 to 30, in the pine hill area of Lao Chai commune and Yen Minh town in Yen Minh district.
The event is held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the Yen Minh district People’s Committee and the International Franchise JSC.
Both domestic and international professional racers and amateurs are eligible to participate in the event, which covers motor control demonstrations, racing on natural terrain conditions, time trials, adventure tracks and car culture exchanges.
The organising committee will award first (VND 150 million), second (VND75 million) and third (VND30 million) prizes, as well as other side prizes for the winners in each event. The funding for the tournament will be provided from the socialisation source, in which Ha Giang province provides security, healthcare and a part of its budget for race track construction and organisation.
The race, which will run through several attractive destinations in Dong Van Karst Global Geopark, is an opportunity for Ha Giang to promote its tourism, culture, landscapes and unique scenery to domestic and international tourists.
