VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Thi Kieu Trinh was voted the AFF's Best Female Player of the Year at the ASEAN Football Federation Awards on Wednesday in Malaysia.

Trinh played a key role in the success of HCM City and the Viet Nam national teams. HCM City finished third in the league while Viet Nam are the Southeast Asian and Southeast Asian Games champions.

At the ceremony, Viet Nam's women's squad was presented the Team of the Year title.

Apart from Trinh, rightback Nguyen Minh Duc of Sai Gon Xuan Thanh was also shortlisted for the accolade.
