On December 6, General Secretary To Lam welcomed Jensen Huang, Chairman of NVIDIA Corporation, during his visit to Vietnam to receive the prestigious VinFuture Award.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his appreciation for NVIDIA's active collaboration with the Vietnamese government and praised the company’s commitment to establishing Vietnam as its "second home." This vision is being realized through the planned creation of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Development Center and an AI Data Center in Vietnam.

“This marks a significant milestone in the strategic partnership between Vietnam and NVIDIA,” stated the General Secretary. He emphasized that successful collaboration with global technology leaders like NVIDIA in research, development, technology transfer, and human resource training is crucial for Vietnam to harness AI's potential to shape its technological future and achieve developmental goals in the new era.

The General Secretary highlighted AI and semiconductors as strategic priorities for Vietnam. These sectors are expected to drive significant improvements in productivity, strengthen global competitiveness, and integrate Vietnam deeper into the global technology value chain.

General Secretary To Lam invited NVIDIA to continue supporting Vietnam in developing a robust AI ecosystem, fostering technological self-reliance and resilience. He recognized NVIDIA as a leading strategic partner in AI and semiconductors and reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to creating favorable conditions for effective collaboration.
