The fare is VND120,000/ticket for international tourists and VND80,000 for domestic visitors.

Ticket counters will open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the summer, and until 9 p.m. in the winter.

Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee Nguyen Van Son explained that buying tickets is to ensure fairness.

He said that as Hoi An ancient town is recognized as a world cultural heritage site, the whole landscape of the old town is a heritage.

Ticket revenues will be used for the restoration of heritage sites, improvement of infrastructure in the old quarter, organization of tourist events, as well as assisting local people to repair their houses, Son said. 

Therefore, all visitors when visiting Hoi An ancient town need to be responsible for buying tickets. In case people and tourists stay in Hoi An for a long time, the local authorities would have measures to identify and set up a separate way for them.

For those who enter the old quarter for the purpose of working at business establishments, restaurants will not be charged.
