A series of cultural, food and sports activities and folkloric art performances will take place with hopes of boosting understanding between Vietnamese and Japanese peoples.
Students of Japanese from Ha Noi's colleges and foreign languages training centres will participate in the Japanese tea ceremony, paper folding and traditional doll-making.
The festival will host a photo exhibition and a hand-made silk sakura display. About 40 booths will offer gourmet foods such as sushi, Udon noodle, pho, spring rolls, fresh rolls and Soba noodle.
The highlight of the festival will be the Mikoshi procession which will aim to bring good fortune to the local community, while performances of martial arts, such as kendo, aikido, judo and karatedo will give the festival a nice kick.
The festival will be co-held by the association and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's International Co-operation Department.
