Ambassador Jean - Noel Poirier said that behind the diplomatic statements is the determination of both parties in the implementation of the specific collaboration.

He said that French President François Hollandecung shared that when he worked with Vietnam, he had faith in this friend country and confirmed that France will strengthen and more strongly develop the relations with Vietnam.

Vietnam wishes more and more scholarships from France for Vietnamese students. France is one of the major overseas destinations of Vietnamese students but the number of students to France has slightly reduced in recent years. France will consider increasing the number of scholarships for Vietnam. This country is also willing to fund the renovation of the 100-year-old Long Bien Bridge in Hanoi.
