VietNamNet Bridge – French movie “Kerity la maison des contes” will be introduced at at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi on May 28.

“Kerity, la maison des contes” is a Franco-Italian animation. The plot follows a boy who must find a way to confront an evil witch in order to save the favorite characters in the books on bookshelves at his home.
The characters are all from famous children’s books – Little Red Riding Hood, Alice of Wonderland, the wooden boy Pinocchio, and Puss In Boots.
This animation is the third feature by director Dominique Monfery – the French filmmaker who worked with Walt Disney animation studios in the 1990s.
It was launched at the Rome Film Festival and won special recognition at the 2010 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. The film attracts kids with its beautiful drawings and excellent adventure story.

Also at L’Espace, lacquer painting exhibition “Nature – Nostalgia” will take place from June 9 through 23.
The exhibition will introduce artworks by Dang Thu Huong, Ly Truc Son, and Nguyen Thi Que, artists of the first generation of the Vietnamese School of Fine Arts.
The audience will have a chance to explore the oriental art of sanded lacquer in the 1990s. The destructive war brings them closer to nature and inspires them with simple subjects: flowers, people, the countryside… The charm of their works resides in the sparkle of the lacquer and its red, black, silver and gold palette.
