On April 25, Pham Vuong Bao, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, announced that as a gesture of appreciation to current and future public transport users, fares will be waived on 133 intra- and inter-provincial bus routes connecting to the city on April 30.
The center has directed all bus operators to strictly adhere to approved operating schedules. Any attempt to charge fares on this date is strictly prohibited.
In celebration of the April 30 holiday, HURC1 (Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Company No. 1) has confirmed that Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will increase both frequency and daily service hours to accommodate travel and leisure activities.
The adjustments will be in effect from April 25 through May 4. On April 25, 28, and 29, trains will operate from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a total of 210 trips per day - 10 more than usual. The interval between trains will be 8 to 12 minutes.
On April 26 and 27 and from May 1 to 4, the service hours remain 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, but train frequency will be increased during peak hours to meet higher travel demand as the city hosts a variety of holiday events and activities.
Notably, on April 30 itself, Metro Line 1 will begin service earlier at 4:30 AM, with additional trips and shorter intervals between trains to ensure smooth and timely transportation for all.
