VietNamNet Bridge – Actress and businesswoman Ly Nha Ky, the former Vietnam Tourism Ambassador, is the youngest Asian ever to sponsor a project for the Museum of Arts Décoratifs in France.

From Feb 2 to June 19, the Arts Décoratifs Museum in Paris will open an exhibition titled Deboutonnez (Open the Button) to introduce a collection of more than 3,000 buttons from the 18th to the 20th century.

Ly Nha Ky is one of the largest international sponsors of the exhibition, alongside Susan Bloomberg, Stephen Schwarzman, members of the Fuhrman family, and her friend, Lebanon billionaire Mouna Ayoub.

In a handwritten letter sent to Ly Nha Ky, director of the Museum, David Cameo, wrote: "This exhibition is the result of painstaking research and passionate work of our team revolving around the precious and unique collection that we cannot wait to reveal. Today, this project is about to become a reality thanks to you."

"My sponsorship to this exhibition comes from the wish to contribute to the human values of humanity, thereby preserving relics and heritage of the future generations, especially in the field of fashion and apparel, which is close to the daily life of every person," Ky said.

Musée des Arts Décoratifs is a museum of decorative arts and design in Paris, France. It was founded in 1905 by members of the Association of Decorative Arts (Union des Arts Décoratifs). It is estimated that there are about 86,000 fashion works including costumes, accessories and fabrics from the 17th century preserved at the Arts Décoratifs. They are associated with famous names such as Chanel, Pierre Balmain, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior.

The sponsors of the museum are well-known names in the world such as Susan Bloomberg, former wife of tycoon Michael Rubens Bloomberg, with total assets of $35.7 billion, Sylvie Nissen, the owner of the Sylvie Nissen gallery system,  businessman and philanthropist William Fisher and billionaire Mouna Ayoub.
