The event is expected to see the participation of several renowned names in international contemporary music scene, including pop stars from the Wallonia-Bruxelles delegation of Belgium, Andrienne Mack-Davis and DJ 32 of France, hip-hop artists from the United States, French songwriter and singer Sébastien Tellier, French electro-pop singer and songwriter Malik Djoudi, and Korean jazz singer Young Joo Song.
Furthermore, popular Vietnamese singer and bands such as Trong Hieu, the Nine Family Hue group, the Redlight band, and Limebócx music band will also perform at the function.
The Hue International Music Week is part of the Hue Festival 2023, which aims to become a new contemporary music event in Thua Thien-Hue during the winter, and to contribute to developing local tourism.
The festival is expected to provide an ideal venue for domestic artists to learn from their experience in working and performing alongside international musicians.
It will be held along with the “Hue By Light” programme, due to take place on the night of December 12 at Ngo Mon Gate.
The show, to be co-hosted by the French Embassy in co-ordination with Thua Thien-Hue province, aims to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Vietnam.
