VietNamNet Bridge – The organizing board made public the five nominees for the 2012 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards on the morning of April 25.

In the conference this morning, the organizers announced the names of the top five male and top five female players who were picked up as the top nominees for the Vietnam Golden Ball Awards, by 148 sports reporters and experts nationwide.

The winners of the Golden, Silver and Bronze Ball Awards will be named at the awards ceremony held at 7pm on May 7 at the Army Theatre in Ho Chi Minh City.

As previous years, many argued that it will be too late to present the 2012 awards in May 2013. The organizing board acknowledged that the time is inappropriate and pledged to hold the poll more early next year.

The total bonus is VND240 million ($12,000), including VND40 million ($2,000) for the Golden Ball winners, VND30 million ($1,500) for the Silver Ball winners and VND20 million ($1,000) for the Bronze Ball winners each.

Five male players with the highest scores are Huynh Quoc Anh (Da Nang), Nguyen Trong Hoang (Song Lam Nghe An), Nguyen Minh Phuong (Da Nang), Nguyen Van Quyet (Ha Noi T & T), Le Tan Tai (Khanh Hoa).

Five female players with the highest scores include Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Hanoi), Tran Thi Kim Hong (HCM City), Nguyen Thi Muon (Hanoi), Le Thi Thuong (Vinacomin Group), Dang Thi Kieu Trinh (HCM City)

Three foreign players: Antonio (Sai Gon Xuan Thanh), Gonzalo (Ha Noi T & T), Merlo (Da Nang)

Three male young players: Duong Thanh Hao (Dong Thap), Tran Phi Son (Song Lam Nghe An), Ngo Hoang Thinh (Song Lam Nghe An)
