The nearly one-minute clip, which surfaced online on March 24, captures the moment a man allows his little girl to sit in the driver’s seat and take control of the steering wheel.

According to the clip, the girl is shown holding the steering wheel firmly while the car’s speedometer indicates a speed ranging from 50 to 60 km/h.

The man can be heard saying: "B., where are you driving Dad to? B., where are you taking Dad? Impressive driving! Really impressive..."

Although the vehicle’s license plate and the specific road are not clearly identified, the clip has sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning the father’s actions as highly unsafe and reckless.

Nguyen Hung, a resident of Thanh Oai, Hanoi, remarked that, despite the possibility of the car being towed by another vehicle, such behavior promotes dangerous road safety practices.

Similarly, Phuong An from Phu Tho expressed concern that the father’s actions might encourage the child to play with vehicles unsupervised, posing significant risks.

Authorities investigate potential violations

A representative of the Traffic Police Department stated that the unit would promptly investigate the incident, verify the details, and impose appropriate penalties if violations are found.

Previously, on January 27, the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Division (Traffic Police Department) and the Thai Binh Provincial Police fined Mr. L.N.L. (born 1981, residing in Vu Thu, Thai Binh) after he posted a clip of his 12-year-old son driving a car with license plate 30K-792.XX.

Investigations revealed that the clip was filmed while the car was being towed by another vehicle. Despite this, Mr. L. was penalized for posting false information that caused public concern.
