According to initial reports, the accident occurred at around 11:30 PM on April 7. The bus, bearing license plate number 43B-048.xx and driven by Nguyen Ngoc Tr. (born in 1975, residing in Buon Ma Thuot City), was traveling from Dak Lak when it suddenly overturned into a roadside field in Phuoc Thanh Commune, Tuy Phuoc District, Binh Dinh Province.

At the time of the incident, the bus was carrying approximately 20 passengers, most of whom were from Quang Nam and Da Nang City.

The accident caused the bus to tip on its side, trapping several injured passengers inside. Police and rescue teams had to break open the vehicle doors to extricate them.

The crash resulted in the death of one passenger, identified as Ms. Ng.Th.Th.T. (born in 1992, from Quang Nam), while six others sustained injuries.

According to Binh Dinh General Hospital, several injured individuals were brought in for treatment. Of these, three required hospitalization, while those with minor injuries were released after receiving care.
