Featuring optical illusions and impressive acrobatics, paired with traditional music performances by a troupe of talented local artists.

Known as the Cirque du Soleil of Vietnam (minus the flashy outfits), this live show depicts the transition of rural Vietnam into today’s modern landscape, using props such as giant woven baskets, scaffolding, bamboo canes, and ropes.

Hanoi-Exhibition “Dao Phap”

As a tradition, each year on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, VICAS art studio hosts an exhibition for artists to participate in. This year, this exhibition is called ĐAO PHÁP, introducing paintings made using painting knives, by hand or by any other tool other than the usual paintbrush.

80 artists from all over the country (Soc Trang, Binh Duong, Sai Gon, Buon Me Thuot, Hue, Quang Binh, Lao Cai,…) have sent in their works.

A group exhibition of new works by a dozen of our favorite artists: Lieu Nguyen, Ngo Van Sac, Truong The Linh, Pham Thanh Toan, Lim Khim Ka Ty…

The “Tet Special 2019” show will be on display starting 25 January and will continue through the Tet holidays before ending on 25 February 2019.

CTG is open from 11-6 on Mondays through Saturdays and from 12-5 on Sundays. The gallery will be open normal hours during the Tet holidays. We are also available to open at other times on an appointment basis.

The gallery has a rich program of events planned for 2019 featuring both many of our favorite artists who have previously shown at the gallery as well as two shows by talented young artists having their first curated gallery exhibitions.

As a special treat this year, the gallery will proudly be showing the work of highly acclaimed Paris-based artist Nguyen Cam at the gallery in the fall.


HCMC-Exhibition “an everyday day” by Nguyen Quang Huy

A solo exhibition of new work by Hanoi-based artist Nguyen Quang Huy.

Considered one of Vietnam’s pioneering artists following the Doi Moi reforms initiated in 1986 (a period of economic liberalisation marked by increased artistic experimentation), Quang Huy will be showing a suite of oil paintings depicting Hmong women and misty mountain scenes created with hazy brushworks in his distinctive muted palette of blue-grey grisaille.
