Lang Toi (My Village) is a delicate merge of tradition and innovation, where the poetic beauty of Northern Vietnam’s village life is presented through a new cirque approach.
Farming, building activities, traditional games, and the lifestyle of the Northern villagers are recreated through ancestral bamboo props, breath-taking cirque and acrobatics performances, and rhythmic dance, to distinct folk music from more than 20 musical instruments.

Manzi Art Space is pleased to present ‘Land of Leisure’ – a solo exhibition by Le Phi Long, one of the most promising visual artists in Vietnam.
‘Land of Leisure’ is part of Le Phi Long’s research project on Indochina in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Taking place at both of Manzi’s spaces, the exhibition features a site-specific installation and a series of paintings created from old archival photos and drawings of wildlife hunting activities in Da Lat during the colonial period.

You are invited to a contemporary photography exhibition by 12 emerging Southeast Asian photographers, including Alvin Lau (Malaysia), Amrita Chandradas (Singapore), Muhammad Fadli (Indonesia), Dennese Victoria (Philippines), Kanel Khiev (Cambodia), Dwi Asrul Fajar (Indonesia), Elliott Koon (Malaysia), Watsamon Tri-yasakda (Thailand), Lee Chang Ming (Singapore), Geric Cruz (Philippines), Linh Phạm (Việt Nam) và Yu Yu Myint Than (Myanmar).
The works on display examine the fragility of youth and the ambiguity of the future, through a still-developing yet unique visual language from the Southeast Asian region.

‘Teh Dar: Vietnamese Tribal Culture features a vibrant display of circus arts, aerial acrobatics, and tribal music within an hour-long performance.
The show highlights the lives of tribal families from the southwest highlands of Vietnam, using UNESCO-listed percussion instruments, such as Vietnamese gongs and buffalo horns, as well as vibrant costumes, and a stunning bamboo cirque depicting various landscapes and creatures from tribal folklores.

In the exhibition ‘Necessary Fictions’, artists Tammy Nguyen and Ha Ninh Pham explore the role of cartography and myth, their command of illustration within the painterly medium – across canvas, paper and wood – unveiling two distinct surrealities.
Meanwhile, the exhibition ‘Broken Relationships’ by Nguyen Ngoc Thach features the chaos of the current world order and the loss of ethical ground in a human-to-human social contract.
